TICKETED EVENT.
Join us at Rizzoli Bookstore on Wednesday, January 21 at 6:30pm to celebrate opening night of Ed Schmidt's play, Edward, where audience members have a hand in the narrative's sequence of events.
Edward O’Connell died 12 years ago, at the age of 73. He left behind a box containing 27 objects. Each object tells a story. Audience members choose the order in which the stories are told, and, each night, Edward’s life is reconstructed anew. Edward arrives in New York after 16 sold-out performances at private homes in Los Angeles. Before its LA engagement, Edward played 40 sold-out shows in apartments and galleries across New York City. The play will be performed at bookstores in Manhattan, Brooklyn, and Queens, from January 21 to February 24.
