Federico Rampini has been the chief correspondent from New York City for one of Italy’s major national newspapers, La Repubblica, since 2009, after a five-year stint in Beijing, where he had been dispatched to open La Repubblica’s China bureau. Prior to that, from 2000 to 2004, he lived in San Francisco, where he covered the first Internet revolution, the so-called New Economy.

 Michael Frank is the author of The Mighty Franks, a memoir, which was published in Italy as I Formidabili Frank.  His essays, articles, and short stories have appeared in The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, The Atlantic, Slate, The Yale Review, Salmagundi, The TLS, and Tablet, among other publications.  He served as a Contributing Writer to the Los Angeles Times Book Review for nearly ten years.  A novel, What Is  Missing is forthcoming this fall from FSG. 

Carlo Invernizzi Accetti is Assistant Professor of Political Theory at The City College of New York (CUNY) and Associate Researcher at the Center for European Studies of the Institut d’Etudes Politiques de Paris (Sciences Po). Professor Invernizzi Accetti is also a regular commentator on European and in particular Italian politics for venues such as the Financial Times, Wall Street Journal, The Guardian, Foreign Affairs, La RepubblicaAl Jazeera, Quartz, Le Monde Diplomatique and France 24.
