MISTRAL WITH RACHEL COBB AND BILL BUFORD

10/25/2018 - 6:00pm

Mistral: The Legendary Wind of Provence is a portrait of Provence seen through its fierce wind. Cobb spent years chasing this capricious force of nature, challenging herself to photograph the invisible. As she became sensitive to its rhythms and effects, Cobb realized the mistral was not just a weather phenomenon, it was an integral part of the fabric of Provençal life. It was everywhere, yet always unseen.

Photographer Rachel Cobb’s work has been widely published in publications such as in The New YorkerThe New York Times MagazineTime, and international publications, and she has exhibited in one-man and group shows across the U.S. and in France
