For more than a decade, Miki has collaborated on projects around the world with Axel Vervoordt. Together, they have explored fundamental principles including wabi, which culminated in their seminal book Wabi Inspirations.

Drawing on key aspects from his childhood in Japan as the son of an architect-restorer, along with his European education and global practice, Miki fuses a multiplicity of aesthetics and influences into his resolutely international architecture.
